TOUR ESSENTIALS

 What to Bring for
Your Dark Sky Tour

Protect Your Night Vision

Please avoid white torches. Use a red light, red bike light, or keep your phone on night mode with brightness turned down.

Bring Only What You Need

Binoculars are optional, & your eyes are enough. A charged phone, water, & any personal essentials are useful for your experiences.

FOOD & LOCAL SHOPS

Eat Early &
Support Local

Nearly every village has food on offer, whether a café, restaurant, grocery shop, butcher, bakery, or local store. These places are vital to small communities and are often a lovely part of the visit.

If you are planning to eat out before a tour, check opening times in advance. Many places stop serving food at or before 8pm.

Local Tip

Plan dinner before your tour, bring warm layers, and leave enough time to travel safely to the meeting point after dark.

DARK SKY TIPS

Make the Most of the Night Sky

Share the amazing things customers are saying about your business. Double click, or click Edit Text to make it yours.

Let Your Eyes Adjust

Give your eyes 10–20 minutes to adapt to the darkness. Avoid looking at bright screens or white lights during this time.

Check the Moon

The moon phase can change what you see. A darker moonless night is best for stars, while moonlit nights can make the landscape feel magical.

No Telescope Needed

Kerry’s dark skies can be enjoyed with your eyes alone. Binoculars are optional, but they can help reveal more detail in the night sky.
